Linkedin has helped me tremendously in my career. I connected with several industry experts and gained beneficial knowledge from their posts. It has assisted me to understand the industry practice worldwide adopted by the best airlines around the world. It took me years to build my profile to where I feel comfortable to say that I have achieved some name in my industry. I’m part of several professional whatsapp groups that help my career and enhance my knowledge and I have attended several webinars due to Linkedin. In short, I cannot emphasize enough how crucial Linkedin has been for my career growth.

I use Linkedin to enhance my knowledge, learn new concepts specifically related to Flight Operations and latest news of Aviation sector. Since I like to read books and I have a thirst for knowledge, I share whatever I have learnt on Linkedin with my followers.

Who am I:

I am passionate about Aviation. I have been part of this ever changing, dynamic and lively sector for a decade and it’s exciting as well as fulfilling to be a part of the team that brings people together. I see people at the airport hug their loved ones with their tears of joy and I cannot help but smile that I was a part of the team that made this happen.

I have a growth mindset and I do not like to sit in the comfort zone, actively learning and actively participating in new experiences and professional courses. I spend most of my free time either reading books, taking online courses or learning new languages. Life has it’s ups and downs and every time a setback hits me, I take it on a positive note and learn from my mistakes.

What I do:

I am a Flight Dispatcher who prepares Flight Plans and briefs operating crew. It’s as simple and as complicated as that. A Flight Dispatcher directly impacts the safety & efficiency of the operation as well as the airline.

In addition to the duties and responsibilities of a Flight Dispatcher, I prepare Flight Dispatch Manual and Flight Dispatch Training Manual on annual basis taking into account state regulations and IOSA regulations. Furthermore, I represent Flight Dispatch in IOSA & AOC audits. I am responsible to the overflying permissions of all adhoc sectors and also the responsibility of monitoring all Notams, analyzing them and preparing altenate routes based on them. I am the system administrator of the Flight Planning system in-charge of keeping the system updated. I am also a SAG (Safety Action Group) member.

I face several challenges in a day and transform those challenges into opportunities.
