How LinkedIn has helped you in your careers or businesses:
Earlier in my career I was headhunted on LinkedIn. Today, running my own organization has been made possible because of LinkedIn. It has enabled me to connect with women and allies around the world in pursuit of our mission of creating and retaining more female leaders in the industry.
Tips on how to Thrive on LinkedIn:
I try to post daily, so our work is regularly seen and is front of mind. It might mean I don’t get as many ‘likes’ as others, but it puts out a consistent message. My number one piece of advice would be to be true to yourself when posting. I used to be afraid that ‘not everyone would want to work with me’ if I wasn’t vanilla, but being bold, brave, and big, has actually led to a lot more success for me. I won’t appeal to everyone and that’s ok.
What I use Linkedin for:
Inspiring the Leading Ladies Of… Aerospace & Defense
Number of Followers:
Aerospace & Aviation
Who am I:
I am the Founder & Chief Badass Officer of the Leading Ladies Of… Aerospace & Defense community. While it was not my initial intention to create a global movement, it has taken on a life of its own and is now my primary vocation. When I’m not working on Leading Ladies you’ll find me speaking on stages, running corporate trainings, and holding executive coaching sessions.
On a more personal level, I am a passionate, bold and brave individual who is ride or die when it comes to supporting the causes I believe in. I’m willing to have the more difficult conversations necessary to drive greater gender diversity in the industry and will speak out when I see something is wrong, even if that could cost me personally. I value honesty, integrity and people that walk their talk.
What I do:
I specialize in courageous leadership and women’s advancement, and I’m on a mission to help transform culture in the industry. My clients include the likes of Boeing, MagniX, Applied Composites, Commercial Aircraft Interiors, and many others both in aerospace and adjacent industries. I have provided Leadership training for many years, and have more recently expanded into providing Corporate Support Packages for women’s employee groups, providing them with tools and trainings to develop more female leaders/
With the Leading Ladies Of… Aerospace & Defense community, me and my growing team have embraced the virtual world in bringing women and allies together from across the globe. Our signature events are our virtual summits, we host Leading Ladies Of… Defense in March and Leading Ladies Of… Aerospace in September, with our last summit having over 700 people register! We also run monthly Leadership Labs and host group programs. If you’d like to learn more head over to www.LeadingLadiesOf.com.

❝This was a post that I shared about overcoming adversity. I love the post because the response I got showed me the power of being vulnerable. I had a lot of people reach out publicly and privately, and I hope that speaking out about my struggles helps others to keep going in tough times too.❞
