Who am I:

My life’s purpose is to improve the world and secure a better life for the generations ahead. I intend to achieve this by advancing research in engineering, science, and medicine, while furthering the understanding of us, Earth, and the universe.

What I do:

I am a researcher, scientist, engineer, analogue astronaut, and explorer.

During the day, I am a PhD candidate at UCL and a guest researcher at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) researching on sustainable water recycling capabilities for extreme environments on Earth and spaceflight missions to the Moon and Mars. For this, I acted as principal investigator at the 35th DLR parabolic flight campaign and co-investigator of a payload with SpaceX-23, which just came back from the International Space Station. As teaching assistant, public speaker, and STEM advocate, I was fortunate to give over 40 presentations, exhibited in London, Paris, Venice, and New York, and received 16 national and international awards.

Last year, I participated in the ESA astronaut selection and got selected as one of the top 5% of a pool of 22,500 astronaut applicants to advance to the next stage. Since then, I have been an analogue astronaut for the 1st UK analogue space research mission and mission commander of CHILL-ICE II.

During the weekends, you can find me in the pilot seat of a glider from the Royal Air Force or skydiving, and on holidays I enjoy scuba diving and summiting high altitude mountains.

All of the above push technical, scientific, and personal limits, which led to becoming a Fellow of the Explorers Club and a Fellow of Extreme & Wilderness Medicine.
