Helen’s Successful Post
I believe that success comes from standing on the shoulders of others. This post from The Female Quotient summarises what it takes to be a great leader, directly from Madeleine Albright ,’It took me quite a long time to develop a voice, and now that I have it, I am not going to be silent.’ This sentence encapsulates so much in one sentence – the trials and tribulations of women, the journey of a Hero’s journey, of betrayal and trust, and perhaps more importantly a stark reminder that there will be those that wish to silence us. Yet, just prevails – everytime.

As of late, I am most excited by this post, that the Supreme Court has confirmed the first black woman into the Supreme Court. That reflects diversity and ensuring representation ensures in the justice system. As a lawyer, seeing this development makes me feel empowered.
