What I use Linkedin for:
Aside from the great networking that my LinkedIn platform provides, I value the opportunity to create a more transparent, personal presence by sharing stories and company/personal values in order to strengthen relationships and appeal to prospective clients, distant friends, aspiring women in aviation, or anyone who wants to know more about Sheltair.
I find myself learning something new every time I sign on, whether it’s reading an educational article, news on a friend’s new job update, or relevant updates within my industry. When I’m busy running a company every day, LinkedIn allows me to feel like I’m up to date on all the other amazing opportunities and milestones happening around me, while also inviting others to stay up-to-date in my life.

Who am I:
I am passionate about family, friends, running, exercise, good red wine, spreading joy and giving back! The one thing I practice daily is to remain true to myself, be myself, not what others may want , or expect me to be. My big why I believe sums up who I am – To strive for and inspire excellence in myself and others.
What I do:
I am the President of Sheltair, the largest private FBO network in the country. The company was founded 60 years ago by my father and I was handed the reins 6 weeks prior to covid. To say I got on the job training is an understatement. I was tasked with making many difficult decisions in order to keep the company afloat. I’m proud to say that we were able to keep all 500 team members employed during that time. I, along with my leadership team oversee a network of 16 FBO’s and 4M Sq. ft of aviation real estate. I love the challenge that each day provides and the wide array of people I get to meet and network with. I look forward to continuing to carry out the vision that my dad has provided to us and to build upon the foundation he has laid.
Why you should follow me on Linkedin:
I want to create a space where I can share my experience as a President of a nationwide, privately-owned aviation company, and inspire others — especially women — in the process.
While the presence of women in aviation on social media is growing, I feel there’s not enough content for aspiring women in the industry to relate to. Sharing a platform with women who I resonate with and believe in is so important to me, and I want to take advantage of the role that I am in to promote these ladies and their incredible success, in addition to my own. I also want to use my platform to talk about what is important to me both personally and professionally – corporate wellness, philanthropy, and if along the way I can help inspire and encourage others to step out of their comfort zones to dream big and soar above and beyond that would be great.

Lisa’s Favorite Post
It’s my favorite post as it totally captures the me that only a select few get to see. I’m a casual person by nature who loves nothing more than a glass of red, a sunset and my friends. Life is nothing without true, genuine friends and that is exactly who took this picture of me – a friend I have had for over 25 years!
Lisa’s Successful Post
I believe it was my most successful post due to the content – and the lead in line of It’s no April Fools joke – the perfect way and date to announce the AIN survey results and the fact that Sheltair had the #1 ranked FBO in the country!
