Beginning flight training at 15, and pursuing education to become an Aviation Professor at age 24, my greatest calling is educating the next generation of aviation professionals.
What I do:
I have written or co-authored 6 aviation books and mentor other authors to write books in the Aviation Fundamentals textbook series. I develop e-learning courses that have been completed by thousands of learners from around the world. Last year I founded a research institute with a mission to be the world’s leading hub for sustainable aeronautics (the Waterloo Institute for Sustainable Aeronautics)

In this post I asked followers to nominate young aviation professionals who they were inspired by, and I mailed 15 copies of my book along with a handwritten note & small gift to each. It was so inspiring to learn their stories and see them post pictures when they received their package. The post had more than 46k+ views

I’ve truly enjoyed the connection to industry facilitated by LinkedIn and it’s hard to choose a most successful post, but I decided on this one where I put out a call to the international community for contributors to an edited book.
